The Rat in the Kitchen

Someone placed a sticky trap in the kitchen, next to the sink. It caught a rat, not a very big one. It surprise me when it wriggled, trying to escape its gooey tomb. I took a picture of it. The rat stared back at me with its small little black eyes, and struggled a little more as I eyed the many knifes not far from it. I wish I had the guts to put it out of its misery.
